The GIGAGREEN project was represented at NanoInnovation 2026, held from 14 to 18 September at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.

During the conference, Elisa Ravesio from Politecnico di Torino presented both a poster and presentation (PS.58), entitled “Scaling Up Silicon-Dominant Anodes: Rheological Control and Bio-Based Binders for Pilot-Scale Battery Electrode Manufacturing.”

Both documents highlighted research addressing the challenges of scaling up silicon-dominant anodes for battery applications, with a particular focus on rheological control and bio-based binders for pilot-scale electrode manufacturing.

The presentation provided an opportunity to share GIGAGREEN’s work with researchers and professionals working across nanotechnology, advanced materials, energy and sustainable manufacturing, while also fostering exchanges around the development of more efficient and environmentally responsible battery production processes.

Participation in NanoInnovation 2026 contributed to GIGAGREEN’s broader objective of advancing sustainable, scalable and cost-efficient battery cell manufacturing and supporting the development of a greener European battery value chain.
