Giorgio Montinaro, PhD student at Politecnico di Torino and member of the GIGAGREEN project team, recently travelled to Bucharest to attend the ElectROBatt Conference 2024. This prestigious event provided a well-structured platform that facilitated enriching discussions and in-depth learning. Giorgio shared his experience, noting, “The conference was a standout experience, thanks to the impeccable organisation. Everything ran seamlessly, fostering an atmosphere that promoted engaging discussions and valuable learning.”
At ElectROBatt, Giorgio presented a poster titled “Optimization of Waterborne Cathode Production for Lithium-Ion Batteries: Investigating Binders, Current Collectors, and Calendering Effects,” which highlighted key insights from his first year of PhD research within the GIGAGREEN project. This research aligns with the conference’s broader objectives, which include exploring innovations in battery materials, electrode architecture, electrolyte designs, and scale-up strategies, as well as advancing knowledge in computational approaches, system integration, and cross-sector applications.
ElectROBatt 2024, dedicated to the electrochemistry of batteries and energy storage technologies, attracts researchers from around the world, creating a collaborative environment to address the pressing need for sustainable energy solutions and to exchange knowledge on cutting-edge developments.
